Product Introduction:
Hexachloroethane is also known as perchloroethane, carbon hexachloride, chemical formula Cl3CCCl3.
Hexachloroethane is an orthorhombic white needle-like crystal precipitated from ethanol or ether, with a camphor odor and sublimation.
Hexachloroethane is practically insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether, benzene, chloroform and oils.
Reacts violently with metal zinc in alcohol solution to generate zinc chloride and tetrachloroethylene, and can also react with other metal powders.
The product can be gradually volatilized when stored in the air, and pyrolyzed into tetrachloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride and chlorine gas at 400～500℃.
Hexachloroethane is the most toxic of chlorinated hydrocarbons. It has toxic effects on the human nerve center and stimulates the skin and mucous membranes.
Hexachloroethane can be used as a raw material for organic synthesis and a degassing agent for aluminum and its alloys.

Product Usage:
Use 1: Hexachloroethane is mainly used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and as a lubricant additive.
Use 2: Hexachloroethane is used as a solvent and used in the production of Freon-113, pesticides, medicines, veterinary drugs, smoke agents, defoamers, degassing agents for aluminum products, deoxidizers (aluminum, magnesium, copper and its alloys), cutting oil additives and polyvinyl chloride co-plasticizers.
Hexachloroethane can be used as a smoke generator when mixed with zinc powder, ammonium chloride, ammonium perchlorate, etc. in proportion. Hexachloroethane is also used as a camphor substitute and a rubber vulcanization accelerator.
Use 3: Hexachloroethane itself is also a veterinary anthelmintic.
Mainly used for ruminant liver leech disease and gastric leech disease, other orchidosis and nematode disease.
Use 4: Hexachloroethane can also be used as solvent, preservative and so on.
Use 5: used as raw material for organic synthesis, degassing agent for aluminum and its alloys.
