The biological efficacy of Beta-Glucan relies entirely on preserving its natural, high-molecular-weight triple-helix structure. Traditional high-heat or aggressive acid extractions break these fragile polymer chains. Our engineering team uses a specialized, low-temperature, multi-stage bio-separation process:
1. Advanced Enzymatic Cell-Wall Disruption
Instead of using harsh chemicals that degrade biological activity, we employ a highly specific, multi-enzyme cocktail to selectively break down outer cell walls. This releases the intracellular matrix and preserves the foundational β-(1,3) backbone structure.
2. Multi-Stage Tangential Flow Ultrafiltration (TFU)
To isolate the raw glucan polymers from residual proteins, lipids, and mannan components, we pass the extract through automated Tangential Flow Ultrafiltration arrays. This physical, membrane-based separation technique guarantees chemical concentration without introducing external chemical residues, yielding a highly purified ingredient.
3. Low-Temperature Spray Drying and Particle Engineering
The liquid concentrate is converted into powder using state-of-the-art, low-temperature vacuum spray dryers. By minimizing thermal stress, we protect the powder from caramelization and degradation, resulting in a free-flowing, non-caking, and highly soluble powder tailored for automated industrial hoppers.
