Product Introduction:

Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NH4HF2.

Ammonium bifluoride is a white or colorless transparent orthorhombic crystal, and the product is in the form of flakes, slightly sour and corrosive.

Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride is easy to deliquescence, dissolves in water as a weak acid, and decomposes toxic fluoride, nitrogen oxides and ammonia gas by water.

Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride is a weak acid soluble in water, can dissolve glass, and is easily soluble in cold water. The aqueous solution has strong acidity, can sublime at higher temperatures, can corrode glass, is corrosive to the skin, and is toxic.

Product Usage:

  • Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride is used in the glass industry as a matting, blooming, etchant, etc.
  • Ammonium bifluoride can be used as a disinfectant and preservative in the fermentation industry.
  • Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride is used in the textile industry as a rust remover, a surface treatment agent for silicon steel plates, a wood preservative, a bacterial inhibitor, a solvent for metal beryllium from beryllium oxide, a brightener for aluminum, alkylation, isomerization catalyst group point.
  • It can also be used in the manufacture of ceramics, magnesium alloys, welding electrodes, cast steel, electroplating, electronic industry, chemical reagents, and concealed reagents for ferric ions.
  • Ammonium bifluoride is also used for cleaning and descaling of boiler feedwater systems and steam generation systems, as well as for acidification of sand and gravel in oil fields.
  • Uses of Ammonium Hydrogen Difluoride in Oil Fields:
    • It is used for acidizing treatment in oil fields. When acidizing formations in oil fields, this product is added to hydrochloric acid to generate hydrofluoric acid, which is indirectly mixed with hydrochloric acid to form soil acid.
    • When the limestone is treated with this soil acid, a calcium fluoride protective layer insoluble in hydrochloric acid is formed on the surface of the pores, which significantly reduces the dissolution rate of the rock and increases the acidification depth.
    • When dealing with sandstone, it can prevent the generation of fluorosilicate caused by hydrofluoric acid, enhance the ability to dissolve silicides and wellbore mud, improve the acidification effect, and reduce the corrosion of ground equipment and pipelines.
